Our Melting Processes
Gold is weighed and prepared for melting. Impurities and other metals are typically mixed with it.
A furnace or crucible is used to melt the gold. Common fuels include natural gas, propane, or induction furnaces for higher efficiency. The gold is heated to around 1,064°C (1,947°F), its melting point.
Once molten, the gold is poured into molds to form ingots or other desired shapes.
